Objective: Description of the implementation process of a CTA at the Morro do Cruzeiro campus of the Federal University of Ouro Preto and presentation of the results of the pilot project. Methods: Theoretical-descriptive research of the guidelines for the operation of the CTA was carried out, followed by articulation with the Ouro Preto reference service in IST / Aids and UFOP and of the team's trainings to execute the rapid tests. Finally, a pilot project was conducted with individuals who spontaneously sought after the UFOP Health Center in April and May 2019 with pre- and post-test counseling, application of the SI-CTA form, and rapid tests for HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B and C. Results:Results: After a few months of meetings, training and structural survey, the pilot project was started, in which 28 people were attended in the period between April 2 and May 20, 2019 with only 2 days of service per week. The majority of the tested were male 53.6%, in the age group between 19-29 years, and students represented 78.6% of the total sample. Half the number of individuals who participated in the pilot project sought after services for testing because of exposure to risk from non-use of condoms in sexual intercourse. Conclusion: This study highlights the importance of easy access CTA in a university environment, highlighting logistic deployment difficulties such as room sharing for attendance, restricted hours and insufficient number of extension volunteers participating in the project.
